Spring in Pima County means its time for the Fair! The fair starts April 15 this year and that's a good date to escape your tax preparation and go have some fun with the family. Admission is 7 dollars for adults, 2 dollars for kids 6 to 10 and 5 and under are free. Not a bad deal. There are discount tickets for rides available online at Pima countyfair.com and ten rides for 10 dollars available at Fry's before the fair opens. These tickets are only good Monday through Friday. There are a variety a concerts included in the price of admission. Jason Derulo appears 4/16, Ted Nugent 4/17, The Commodores 4/18, Atreyu 4/23, Jake Owen 4/24 snf Banda el Recodo 4/25. The Concerts all begin around 7:30 or 8:00 PM. There's a huge array of attractions from sea lions to elephants to sharks and if you can drag your kids away from the rides the 4-H competitions are super. You will find every variety of farm animals imaginable, chickens, ducks, sheep, pigs, goats, cows, etc. This is a great place to learn about and show your kids where their food comes from. Who knows, maybe they'll want to join 4-H. I was a 4-H kid and its a great experience. So go out and spend the day at the Fair before it ends on April 25th.
