Rincon Valley Farmers and Artisans Market
Saturday, March 20, 2010
Another beautiful day in Vail and we thought we’d make a run out to the Rincon Valley Farmers Market. We haven’t been out there for awhile and it was terrific to find the market bustling with activity, lots of vendors and some very helpful services. The first thing we came across was a veterinarian providing low cost vaccinations in a very dog friendly venue. No crowded waiting room with nervous, barking pooches, just a bunch of happy pups on an outing with their people. They barely noticed the quick shot from the friendly vet. What a great idea!
We perused the available crafts and arts, everything from jewelry, pottery, fabulous photography and gorgeous paintings at truly amazing prices. The vendors and artists were friendly, helpful and there!
Finally we sampled the produce. We found lots of fresh produce, baked goods, locally grown honey, organic coffees and tortillas. Lots of terrific things to choose from and many of the growers were right there to tell you about what they grow.
The Rincon Valley Farmer’s Market is every Saturday from 9:00 to 1:00 at the Quonset Barn on12500 E Old Spanish Trail. This is a lively spot with lots of great things to choose from and located in a beautiful spot.
